Which game chew suits which dog?
- Power chewers: deer legs with fur, whole deer rib, wild boar skin 50 cm. Bone and thick skin that last a long time.
- Medium chewers: deer skin, roe deer skin, wild boar skin 15 cm, deer ears and roe deer ears without fur.
- Digestion: roe deer ears, deer ears, roe deer skin and rabbit skin with fur. The fur works like fibre and cleans the gut.
- Training and rewards: venison cubes, venison strips, venison bars, venison kabanos, game sausage ends.
Why game for allergies?
Most food allergies are directed against chicken and beef, because dogs get them most often. Very few dogs know roe deer, red deer and wild boar, so the immune system has formed no antibodies against them. That is why game is one of the first alternatives in an elimination diet. All products here consist of a single animal species.
Are deer legs and deer ribs dangerous?
Dried deer bones are softer than beef bones and splinter less. They are still bones though: only for dogs that chew calmly and do not gulp, only under supervision, and take the rest away as soon as it could be swallowed. Not for puppies and not for dogs that bite bones off in one piece.
With fur or without?
With fur: the hairs are indigestible and work like a brush for the gut, many owners use this for dogs with sluggish digestion. Without fur: for dogs that do not tolerate hair in their stool, and for sensitive stomachs. Both keep equally long.
Where does the game come from?
From the wild in the EU, processed to food grade standards under HACCP and veterinary control. Gently dried, without preservatives, flavourings or colourings.
