Which dogs is horse meat the right choice for?
For dogs with a food allergy or intolerance that are on an elimination diet. Horse is a so called novel protein, a protein source the dog has not known before. For overweight dogs and seniors, because horse meat is one of the leanest meats: our dried horse meat has around 4 % fat at 72 % protein, horse head skin even only 2.3 % fat, horse lung sits at 10 % fat and 55 % protein. And for dogs with sensitive stomachs, because it is easy to digest.
Which horse snack for which purpose?
- Training and rewards: horse meat mini cubes, horse lung mini cubes, soft horse meat cubes, horse meat mini sticks. Small, eaten fast, few calories.
- Chewing and keeping busy: horse skin, horse skin with fur, horse head skin, horse lower leg. Depending on the size of the dog 20 minutes to several hours of chewing.
- Digestion: horse stomach and horse skin with fur. The fur works like fibre and cleans the gut naturally.

Is horse meat healthy for dogs?
Yes. Horse meat provides high quality protein, little fat, plenty of iron and B vitamins. It contains less cholesterol than beef. Because it rarely appears in commercial food, the allergy risk is low. All products here consist of a single animal species (single protein), so you know exactly what your dog is getting.
How much horse meat can my dog have per day?
Snacks should make up no more than 10 % of the daily food amount. For a 20 kilo dog that is about 30 to 40 grams of dried meat. Chews such as horse skin or lower leg count towards that, even if the dog chews on them over several days.
How are the horse chews made?
