Which beef chew for which dog?
- Beef head skin with fur: the classic for medium and large dogs. Tough, low in fat, with fur for digestion.
- Beef leg skin sheet: a large sheet you cut to size. You decide the piece size yourself, so it suits small dogs too.
- Beef lips: softer than head skin, for dogs with sensitive teeth and seniors.
- Beef horn: the hardest beef chew, only for strong chewers. Calorie free and very long lasting.
- Beef and tripe sausage ends: dried dog sausage for chewing and rewarding.
Beef head skin: healthy or dangerous?
Beef head skin is one of the safest chews: it does not splinter but slowly softens and wears away while chewing. The only danger is a dog biting off large pieces and gulping them. So choose the size to match your dog and take small leftovers away. With 7 % fat it is far leaner than pig ears or bully sticks.
Why low fat?
Many beef chews such as bully sticks or beef skin with a fat rim have 20 to 30 % fat. Our selection sits at 2 to 8 %, so that dogs with weight problems and seniors can chew regularly too.
Beef for allergies?
Beef is one of the most common allergy triggers in dogs. If your dog reacts to beef, you will find alternatives under horse, game and fish.
