Why lamb?
Lamb has been the classic fallback for food intolerances for decades. It is easy to digest, mild and rich in iron and zinc. Because it now appears in many foods, it is no longer new to every dog. For dogs that have only ever had chicken and beef, however, it is still the first alternative.
Which lamb products are there?
- Lamb chew sticks: dried sticks made from 100 percent lamb, medium hard, for medium and large dogs. Dental care on the side.
- Puppy chew sticks lamb: narrower and softer, the first chew from teething onwards.
- Lamb dog sausage: Wuffwurscht with 97 percent muscle meat, firm for training.
Lamb for puppies
Lamb is one of the few species we recommend for puppies without hesitation. The puppy chew sticks are thin enough that milk teeth do not suffer and firm enough that the puppy has something to do while teething. Give under supervision and replace as soon as the piece could be swallowed.
Lamb for allergies
All lamb products here are single protein, with no hidden second species. If your dog has been getting lamb for a long time and still shows symptoms, lamb itself may be the trigger. Then move on to horse, goat or fish.
