In your dog's bowl within 2 to 4 working days
🦌 88 % protein, 4.2 % fat: hardly any chew is leaner
When a dog needs to lose weight, the chew is usually the first thing to go. Whatever keeps a dog busy for a long time is often high in fat, and bully sticks or pig ears are simply out during a diet.
Purwell roe deer skin is the exception: dried skin from roe deer, a natural product made of almost pure connective tissue. That gives 88.2 % crude protein with just 4.2 % crude fat. Your dog gets its chewing session without the daily balance tipping over.
Composition: dried roe deer skin. Two words.

❓ Frequently asked questions
How can skin be so rich in protein?
Because skin consists almost entirely of connective tissue, that is collagen, a structural protein. Drying removes the water, what remains is almost pure protein. It is not a concentrate and not an additive, simply what skin is by nature.
Is roe deer skin suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product without grain, sugar or additives, and most dogs have never had roe deer before, a good starting point for elimination diets. If your dog reacts specifically to game, it is not for them.
How long will my dog chew on it?
Considerably longer than on a treat, but it is not a chew bone for the whole afternoon. The skin softens and frays while chewing instead of breaking brittle, which also makes it suitable for more cautious chewers.
Can I give it daily?
Thanks to the low fat content, roe deer skin is one of the less critical options, but it still counts towards the daily ration. It is a complementary feed that supplements the daily diet but does not replace it.
Why do the pieces look different?
Because it is a natural product. Size, thickness and colour vary from piece to piece, that is normal variation and not a difference in quality.
Does roe deer skin smell strongly?
Much milder than fish or tripe products. One of the less noticeable options for indoors.
Where does the roe deer come from?
From responsible hunting in Europe, no farmed game.
How do I store it?
Cool and dry, reseal the pack after taking a piece out. The best before date is stamped on the packaging.
