🦌 The fur is no accident, it is the reason
Anyone holding a roe deer ear with fur for the first time is briefly puzzled. But that is exactly the point: the hairs act like a coarse brush while chewing, work their way through the digestive tract and are passed undigested. Many owners therefore use them deliberately for natural gut cleansing.
Add to that what a deer ear brings anyway: cartilage, skin and a little meat, medium firm chewing work that lasts longer than a treat and is still not a bone a dog could ruin its teeth on.
📦 What is in the pack

❓ Frequently asked questions
What is the fur good for?
The hairs are indigestible and travel through the gut as coarse fibre. That can stimulate gut activity and is traditionally used in the raw feeding community for natural gut cleansing. There are, however, no robust studies on worm prevention, so it is no substitute for deworming.
Is the fur dangerous?
Not in the usual amounts. With very frequent feeding or in dogs with known digestive problems, start slowly. Too much indigestible fibre at once can burden the gut.
Are they suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product without grain, sugar or additives, and most dogs have never had roe deer before. If your dog reacts specifically to game, they are not for them.
How long will my dog chew on them?
Medium firm, so longer than a treat but not hours of occupation. For a determined chewer a few minutes is realistic.
What is the difference to roe deer ears without fur?
Only the fur. Without fur they are cleaner to handle and more neutral in smell, without the fibre effect. With fur the chewing takes a little longer.
Do they smell strongly?
Mild game note, much less noticeable than fish or tripe products.
Suitable for puppies too?
From teething onwards in principle yes, under supervision. The first time, watch how your dog copes with the fur.
How do I store them?
Cool and dry, reseal the pack after taking a piece out. The best before date is stamped on the packaging.
