❓ Frequently asked questions

Are the lamb chew sticks suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product made from 100 % lamb, without grain, sugar or additives. That makes them suitable for elimination diets and for dogs with intolerances to chicken, beef or grain. If your dog specifically reacts to lamb, they are of course not for them.

How long will my dog chew on a stick?
That depends heavily on the dog. A determined Labrador is through in one to two minutes, a smaller or more leisurely dog stays busy with it much longer. The narrow sticks are not meant as a long lasting occupation for power chewers, for that we have chew roots and horns in the range.

How big are the sticks?
About 15 cm long and roughly pencil thin. Because it is a natural product, length, thickness and colour vary from stick to stick, some are light amber, some much darker. That is not a difference in quality but normal variation in drying.

30 % crude fat sounds like a lot, is that a problem?
Lamb is naturally richer in fat than fish or game, for example. That is why the sticks are a snack and not a meal: count them towards the daily ration and reduce the main food accordingly. For dogs with pancreatitis or on strict fat reduction, please talk to your vet first.

Do the sticks smell strongly?
Less than fish or tripe, but it is dried meat, it is not entirely odourless. The resealable zipper keeps the smell well inside the pack.

Are they suitable for puppies?
From teething onwards in principle yes, the calibre is pleasantly soft to work on. As with all chews: only under supervision and always offer fresh water alongside.

How do I best store them?
Cool and dry, reseal the pack after taking a piece out. The best before date is stamped on the back of the packaging.
