updog Wuffwurscht Duck is the way out. Duck is poultry, but a much rarer species, and many dogs with chicken problems tolerate it without trouble. 97 % muscle meat, 3 % tapioca as a binder.

❓ Frequently asked questions
Can a dog with a chicken intolerance have duck?
Usually yes. Duck is poultry too, but a different species, and cross reactions are rarer than between lamb and goat, for example. If your dog reacts strongly to poultry, test carefully and watch the first few days.
Is the Wuffwurscht suitable for allergy sufferers?
In terms of animal protein, yes: duck is the only animal species in the product. Added to that is 3 % tapioca, a gluten free root starch that only serves as a binder. For a strict elimination diet, discuss the ingredient list with your vet practice.
Is this a snack or a food?
A snack. The sausage is a single ingredient feed and supplements the daily ration. It is not intended as a sole meal because it lacks important nutrients such as calcium.
How long does it keep after opening?
About four days in the fridge. Unopened it keeps for several months when stored cool below 20 °C, and it can also be frozen.
Why is there tapioca in it?
As a binder so the sausage stays firm enough to slice. Tapioca is cassava starch, grain free, gluten free and neutral in taste.
How do I best cut it?
With a knife into slices or cubes. Small cubes are ideal for training, thicker slices as a reward in between.
Does it smell strongly?
A clear poultry smell, but not overpowering. Easy to handle in the treat bag.
