🐂 The snack your dog smells before you open the bag

There are treats a dog looks at with polite interest. And there is green tripe. When your dog is distracted in training, when the recall in the woods does not work, when the standard treat simply cannot compete with the squirrel, then you need something stronger.

The updog sausage ends tripe are exactly that: sausage offcuts made from 90 % green tripe, gently dried, in a plump sausage casing. The attention level you save for the difficult moments.

To be fair: green tripe smells. Noticeably. That is not a product weakness but the reason it works.

📦 What is inside

  • 🐂 90 % green tripe: the forestomach of cattle with the natural plant remnants, not bleached
  • 🥕 10 % vegetable flakes with herbs: carrot, beetroot, parsley and a classic herb mix
  • 🌾 2.4 % crude fibre: the highest fibre content of our three sausage ends varieties
  • 🪶 35.5 % crude protein at 25.9 % crude fat: leaner than the beef and game meat varieties
  • ✂️ Easy to portion: break into pieces and into the treat bag
  • 🚫 No sugar, caramel, colourings or flavourings: no preservatives

🐾 Which dogs are the tripe sausage ends suitable for?

  • ✅ Dogs that are hard to motivate: when normal treats no longer work in training
  • ✅ Fussy eaters: tripe is the classic that even divas cannot resist
  • ✅ Dogs that can use fibre: thanks to the higher crude fibre content
  • ✅ Dogs of every size: the ends can be broken as small as you like

⚠️ What they are not meant for

Besides tripe these sausage ends also contain vegetables and herbs. For an elimination diet or a strict single protein plan they are therefore not suitable, for that we have the Purwell range with pure single protein snacks. What you get here instead is something else: maximum appeal.

✨ Why updog?

updog is our house brand for honest chews, made by people who have dogs at home themselves. The raw material arrives fresh, is dried naturally and packed without chemical additives. What it says on the pack is what is inside.

The 150 g bag is the size to try out, the 750 g pack is for everyone whose supply never lasts long anyway.

❓ Frequently asked questions

How strongly do the tripe sausage ends really smell?
Honestly: of our three varieties this is the most intense in smell. Green tripe brings its typical smell of its own, and dogs love it precisely for that. We recommend a sealable tin for the jacket pocket.

What is green tripe anyway?
The first forestomach of cattle, in which grass is pre digested. "Green" means: unbleached and uncleaned, so with the natural plant remnants. White tripe is cleaned industrially and smells milder, but loses part of what attracts dogs so much.

Are they suitable for allergy sufferers?
Only to a limited extent. There are no artificial additives, but besides tripe there are also vegetables and herbs. For a dog on an elimination diet or with a known beef intolerance they are not suitable, have a look at our single protein snacks instead.

How much can my dog have?
As a snack, not as a meal. Rule of thumb: treats should not exceed about 10 % of the daily ration, and at 25.9 % crude fat it is worth reducing the main food accordingly.

What is the consistency of the ends like?
Firm but not rock hard, they break easily with the fingers. They are not meant as a long lasting occupation but as a highly attractive reward bite.

Why do the ends look so different?
Because they are offcuts, the ends of the sausage pieces left over from portioning. Size, shape and weight therefore vary considerably. That is exactly what makes them attractively priced.

Suitable for puppies too?
From teething onwards and in small pieces, in principle yes. Because tripe is rich in fibre, start slowly, increasing too quickly can upset the digestion of sensitive dogs.

How do I store them?
Cool and dry, close the bag well. The best before date is on the packaging.
