28.5 % crude fat, is that not a lot?
Fish skin is naturally rich in fat, and precisely this fat carries the omega-3. That is why the tuna crunch is a portion snack: 1 to 3 pieces daily according to the feeding recommendation. For overweight dogs or prescribed fat reduction, have a look at our cod power cubes with 3.2 % fat instead.
Why is the crude ash value so high at 28.3 %?
That stands for the mineral content, which is naturally high in fish skin. For dogs with kidney disease or on a mineral reduced diet, please check with your vet before feeding.
Are they suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product made from tuna skin, without grain, sugar or additives. If your dog reacts to fish in general, it is not for them.
What is the difference to the tuna cracker?
The cracker is the central bone, hard, for long chewing. The crunch is the skin, light, crunchy, eaten faster and with much more omega-3. For occupation take the cracker, for skin and coat this one.
Does it smell strongly?
Yes, it is dried fish skin. The smell is noticeable, which is why acceptance with dogs is correspondingly high. A container for on the go is recommended.
Suitable for puppies and seniors too?
Yes, the structure is crunchy but not hard. For small mouths simply break into pieces.
How do I store it?
Cool and dry, close the pack well after opening, especially important with fatty fish products.
