Are they suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product made from dehydrated swordfish, without grain, sugar or additives. Because hardly any dog has had contact with this fish species before, it is especially well suited to elimination diets. If your dog reacts to fish in general, it is not for them.
Why the neck area of all places?
Because that is where especially firm muscle meat sits. After drying that gives a tough structure a dog really has to work on, instead of a snack that is gone after two bites.
How does it differ from the cod power cubes?
Cod is cut as a small training cube and at 3.2 % is even lower in fat. Swordfish is a piece to chew, more occupation, more protein. For quick rewards take cod, for a chewing session this one.
How often can my dog have it?
As a snack, not as a meal, count it towards the daily ration. Because predatory fish sit at the end of the food chain, we recommend it as variety in the chew range, not as a daily permanent snack.
Does it smell strongly?
Yes, it is dried fish. Less pungent than salmon, but clearly noticeable. A container for on the go is recommended.
How big are the pieces?
A natural product, size, shape and colour vary. For small dogs the pieces can be split before feeding.
How do I store it?
Cool and dry, close the pack well after opening. The best before date is stamped on the packaging.
