Most fish snacks are chopped up and gone after two bites. The Purwell flounder is something else: whole, gently dried flatfish with skin, bones and fins. Your dog has to work through it, and that is exactly what makes it appealing.
The flounder is a native flatfish from the North Sea and Baltic Sea, not an imported fish from the other side of the world. Composition: 100 % flounder. Nothing else.

Are the bones dangerous?
Fish bones are soft and pliable, not brittle like poultry bones, they fray while chewing instead of breaking into sharp edges. Still, as with every chew: feed only under supervision and provide fresh water.
How big are the fish?
A natural product, size and shape vary considerably. For small dogs the fish can be broken or cut before feeding.
How much can my dog have?
According to the feeding recommendation, offer daily as desired. In practice that means: as a snack, not as a meal, count the amount towards the daily ration and reduce the main food accordingly.
Why is the crude ash value so high at 16.4 %?
Because whole fish with bones are fed, the value stands for the mineral content, mainly calcium and phosphorus. For dogs with kidney disease or on a mineral reduced diet, please check with your vet before feeding.
Are they suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes. It is a pure single protein product without grain, sugar or additives. If your dog reacts to fish in general, the flounder is not for them.
Does it smell strongly?
Yes, clearly of fish. That is part of it and the reason for the high acceptance. For indoors we recommend a washable mat.
Suitable for puppies and seniors too?
From teething onwards and in smaller pieces yes, under supervision. The structure is tough but not rock hard.
How do I store them?
Cool and dry, reseal the pack after taking a piece out.
